Kids did, kids will watch!
Comissão de crianças da 1ª edição:
"A century ago, no one thought that the child's first year of life had any importance for his development. It was believed that the relevant experiences started with the beginning of primary school, with the learning of reading, writing and mathematics. But Freud, whoever asked him what was the most important year of his life, answered without hesitation "Certainly the first!"
And after Freud, Piaget, Vygotsky, Bruner helped us to understand that there is no year more important than the first in the history of an individual; they showed us that a child is competent and full of possibilities from the first day of life; which is, therefore, capable of having its own ideas, different from those of adults and of expressing them. "

Since 2015, we at Catarsis have dedicated a large part of our research to childhood and increasingly make sure that it is essential to believe in the child's potential and never underestimate their knowledge, just as it is essential to abandon authoritarian behaviors that can be practiced in the process of formation of the individual.
When we developed the idea for this project, we were being conquered, because as we discussed, we noticed the unique opportunity that presented itself: Create and organize an immense arts festival without planning it in detail, without having the “pseudo control” of everything and yet consider and accept ideas and suggestions developed by a committee formed by children between 9 and 12 years old.
And that's how it happened; this way!
We listen, we submit and the result is ready for you to join us.
Lots of kisses, lots of smiles and a great festival!
